Trains 1997 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Silver Charm and 1998 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Real Quiet. Won the 1998 Kentucky Derby with Real Quiet by a half-length over Victory Gallop, with the Baffert-trained Indian Charlie third. Real Quiet, nicknamed 'The Fish', gave Baffert the chance of being the first trainer in Thoroughbred racing history to have two consecutive chances of winning the Triple Crown.
